Founded in 2009 by Rich Farmer, the Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame had the goal of honoring the over 60-year history of Fremont Speedway. Known as “The Track that Action Built,” Fremont Speedway is a historic clay racetrack that some of the most famous sprint racers have raced upon its surface. Considering the racetrack’s significance, those involved in Fremont Speedway saw the need to enshrine not only the racers but the very individuals that have made the speedway what it is today. With classes being inducted every year since the hall of fame’s founding, the public can not only witness these events but participate in them by purchasing memberships into the Fremont Speedway Historical Club, which gives unique voting privileges alongside many other benefits.
